Land Registration Advertising: Changes Since February 1, 2021

The Law aimed at modernizing certain rules related to land registration advertising and promoting the dissemination of geospatial information has established various measures:


The inclusion of certain personal information will be prohibited in the requisitions submitted and the documents accompanying them, under penalty of refusal. This prohibition does not apply to:

acts dated before February 1, 2021;


civil status acts required for advertising purposes;


prohibited information required under a law or regulation.


The notice of legal mortgage resulting from a judgment in family matters will no longer need to be accompanied by the judgment; however, the content of this notice will be enhanced.

Note that from November 8, 2021, the transmission of all documents to be registered in the land register will be done exclusively by electronic means.
